AXLES

Hydra-Spread manure spreaders are available with regular axles (18” ground clearance) or drop axles (12” ground clearance). All axles are oscillating tandem design.

A longer arm at the front wheel allows the spreader to negotiate uneven terrain with ease. Spindles are 1045 steel (a good combination of strength and toughness). Tandem bushings are 954 aluminum-bronze which combines extreme wearability with very high strength. Tandem bushings are greased from a location at the side of the machine. Every model has options for truck type tires and implement floatation tires. We can offer single axle designs for models 227 through 277.
